village, a tribe, clan, Gael. treabhair houses, and perhaps
to L. turba a crowd, mult. Cf. {Dorp}.]

a dorp; -- now chiefly occurring in names of places and
persons; as, Althorp, Mablethorpe. ``Within a little thorp I
