(a) Capable of climbing; as, the woodpecker is a scansorial
bird; adapted for climbing; as, a scansorial foot.

{Scansorial tail} (Zo["o]l.), a tail in which the feathers
are stiff and sharp at the tip, as in the woodpeckers.
