Barbary \Bar"ba*ry\, n. [Fr. Ar. Barbar the people of Barbary.]
The countries on the north coast of Africa from Egypt to the
Atlantic. Hence: A Barbary horse; a barb. [Obs.] Also, a kind
of pigeon.
