Yerba \Yer"ba\, n. [Sp.] (Bot.)
An herb; a plant.

universally applied to a common, sweet-scented labiate
plant ({Micromeria Douglasii}).

buckthorn ({Rhamnus Californica}).

{Yerba mansa}. [Sp., a mild herb, soft herb.] A plant
({Anemopsis Californica}) with a pungent, aromatic

Indians.
