The Arabian camel ({Camelus dromedarius}), having one hump or
protuberance on the back, in distinction from the {Bactrian
camel}, which has two humps.

Note: In Arabia and Egypt the name is restricted to the
better breeds of this species of camel. See {Deloul}.
