Trichinosis \Trich`i*no"sis\, n. [NL. See {Trichina}.] (Med.)
The disease produced by the presence of trichin[ae] in the
muscles and intestinal track. It is marked by fever, muscular
pains, and symptoms resembling those of typhoid fever, and is
frequently fatal.
